To improve the appearence of Lotus Notes on Ubuntu 64bit the currently used "gtk-theme-engine" have to be installed in it's 32 bit form.
You have to download and extract the 32-bits libraries and put the files in
/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/
After that I created a startup-script called "notes.sh" which looks like this:
export GTK_PATH=/usr/lib32/gtk-2.0
cd /opt/ibm/lotus/notes/framework
../notes
This is the gtk-engines in my folder:
ls /usr/lib32/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/engines/
libaurora.la libhcengine.so libnodoka.so libsvg.so
libaurora.so libindustrial.so libpixmap.so libthinice.so
libclearlooks.so libluaengine.so libqtcurve.so libubuntulooks.la
libcrux-engine.so libmist.so libredmond95.so libubuntulooks.so
libglide.so libmurrine.so libsmooth.so
Each one of these are downloaded from http://packages.ubuntu.com/. The deb file is then opened in "archive managager" to be able to extract the files. They are located in the "data.tar.gz" in the deb-file.
It's a little tricky but now my Notes-client looks very nice indeed.
